Danny started his playing career at Old Trafford as a junior and made the breakthrough into the Football League with Hartlepool whilst on loan to the north-east club. 

Since then Danny has played at a number of levels in the non-league game and was nominated in the Non-League National Game awards whilst at Droylsden. 

Signed for Ashton in September 2009.
