This season sees Ashton United celebrating 130 years of football at Hurst Cross. Several generations of fans and several generations of businesses have helped support the club. There have been good and not so good times over the years, but through it all a sense of community has helped to pull the club through.

This season the club have genuine reasons for optimism. After finishing tenth in the UniBond Premier Division last season, manager Danny Johnson has the basis of a side capable of challenging for honours.

With the help of local businesses and individuals through increased levels of sponsorship, the chances of success and increased exposure for those supporting the club will undoubtably follow. Sponsoring the club is also a good way of showing support for the local community.
