Ashtonutd.com was launched in August 2006 as a replacement for the successful former official Ashton United FC website, Ashtonunited.com. Prior to this the site had existed as a supporters website with a a weekly blog entry and reflections on matches played. When John North left the club in the Summer of 2006 to pursue management interests he passed on responsibility of the official site to current webmaster David Hills-Taylor, who developed the current site from the original supporters site. In August 2007 the site was relaunched with a new look and improved features.

Navigation is intended to be as simple as possible and the site is closely linked with the official fans forum and associated news section. In order that our website is accessible to as many users as possible it has been designed so it can be viewed at a minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, provides a site map to aid navigating, does not use frames and makes use of image tags.

The webmaster and administration team are always interested in suggestions for improvements and future development, so please feel free to contact us with any ideas or suggestions.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our site.
